The company was founded in 2000 by a sister team, June Wang Lim and Selene Wang. StarLite Cuisine is actually an extension of First Vegetarian Foods, a natural food product company established in 1979 by Jenny and Tau Wang, for the purpose of providing vegetarian foods to Asian communities in Southern California.

June Wang Lim serves as President of StarLite Cuisine and Selene Wang as Vice
President/Creative Director. Both partner in the development of new products. June Wang
Lim is also a CPA, and directs strategic planning, niche marketing and business
development for StarLite Cuisine, Inc. Selene handles production, research and recipe
development.
